Band II/IV radiator

The IRad radiator belongs to the latest generation of high-performance radiators for the wireless INFRACOM® language transmission system. Within this language transmission system, the infrared radiator has the task of converting an electrical signal supplied by an infrared transmitter into invisible infrared light and radiating it into the room. The signal to be transmitted from the control transmitter can comprise up to 32 channels in Band II or in Band IV.

A set-up and holding bracket is used for aligning and/or setting up without a tripod. For mounting on a tripod, this has a 3/8″ female thread.

The radiator is cooled exclusively by convection, i.e. no fan noise interferes with the operation of the radiator. The position of the radiator does not matter, operation vertically downwards or directed towards the ceiling is also possible.

Operating modes

There are two modes of operation: half power and full power. The operating mode is selected via a switch on the rear panel.

Protection circuits

In addition to ESD protection, the device has a temperature monitor that initially switches the radiator to half power in the event of overtemperature and later switches it off completely if overheating persists. The status is indicated via LEDs.

State indicators

• red flashing for error: overtemperature, one or more diode strings defective, other errors
