HISTORY
Brähler Systems can look back on a company history spanning more than 6 decades.
We look back on significant milestones, starting with the founding of the company by Helmut Brähler in 1959.

1959 – The beginning
Helmut Brähler founded the company in 1959 and coined the term “conference technology”. In Bonn, he designed, invented and built the first simultaneous interpreting system. Entrepreneurial courage and a relentless pursuit of innovation made him a pioneer in congress technology.

1961 – The milestone
Brähler’s single-cable technology sets a milestone in conference technology. Most of today’s wired systems are based on this principle. This cabling technique shortens and simplifies assembly and disassembly. This is especially important for rental systems, where reliable operation and time are the critical factors.

1969 – The network
The Brähler ICS network is now the oldest and largest rental network in the world. The members undertake to comply with particularly high quality standards. Together with partners, Brähler rents and sells conference technology “made by Brähler” and guarantees reliable, durable products and a highly professional, holistic event service.

1970 – The service
Wherever the event takes place, a Brähler ICS Project Manager takes care of the entire organization on site – worldwide: in Africa, America, Asia, Australia and Europe. Brähler’s service is based on the experience of more than 100,000 conferences.

1976 – The launch
The year of the deployment of two DIGIMIC systems (300 microphones) at the UN Conference on Human Settlements in Vancouver and the launch of Digimic – the world’s first software-controlled conference system! Digivote – the world’s first computerized voting and interaction system using single-cable technology – followed shortly thereafter.

1985 – The feature
As an indicator that a microphone is switched on, Brähler invents the illuminated ring. This feature has now been copied by all major manufacturers of microphone technology. However, when comparing shape, quality and illuminance, the old adage proves true: You can’t beat the original!

Anker
1991 – The technology
The world’s first wireless voting system DIGIVOTE, introduction of the smart card in conference technology and the first fully digital conference system with integrated DSP technology in 2000. The latter enables a voice quality that is still unmatched today.

Anker
2001 – The DSP system
Brähler presented the CDSVAN digital conference system based on DSP technology. A fully digital all-in-one conferencing system with unique flexibility that enables discussion, identification, interpretation, voting and recording. Its superior audio quality, wide range of features and networking capabilities make CDSVAN the industry’s leading DSP-based conferencing system.

2017- The innovation
With brählerOS, Brähler Systems has designed a completely new and future-proof conference software based on the DIGIMIC hardware family for the management, preparation, control and follow-up of one or more conferences. This provides the individual operator with an intuitive, task-optimized interface for simple and effective operation.
